At around 2:15 p.m. on Oct. 13, officers were called to the 14300 block of Franklin Street in Woodbridge, where there was an attempted assault involving Gonzalez-Flores, 25, another motorist, and a machete.
According to the Prince William County Police Department, a 32-year-old man stopped his vehicle in the area due to a possible mechanical issue, and when Gonzalez-Flores pulled up behind the vehicle, he began sounding his horn before confronting his victim.
The two got into a verbal confrontation, investigators say, at which point Gonzalez-Flores allegedly went back to his vehicle, fetched a machete, which he threw at his victim.
Gonzalez-Flores' aim was not true and he missed the other driver, though he struck his vehicle with the weapon. He then fled the area and has not been located as of Tuesday, Oct. 15.
No injuries were reported, only property damage.
Arrest warrants were obtained for the Woodbridge resident, who is now wanted for attempted malicious wounding.
Gonzalez-Flores was described as being a Hispanic man who is approximately 5-foot-6 weighing an estimated 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
